Speak at a talk
You already did the thing a seventeen year old at your old school is trying to decide on. An hour of your time is worth more to them than anything they can read online.
What you would actually do
- Talk for about ten minutes about your degree: why you chose it, what first year was really like, what you would tell yourself at seventeen.
- Answer questions from students at your old school. The honest answers are the useful ones.
- You are on a panel with two or three others, so you are not carrying the hour on your own.
What it costs you
About an hour on the day, plus a twenty minute call beforehand so you know what to expect. Online, so you can be anywhere.
This is unpaid. Nobody involved is paid, and students do not pay to attend.
